When I arrived at Jacobs Babtie in 2006, fresh from university, Kevin was a friendly face and a font of knowledge. I was lucky enough to have Kevin as my ICE Mentor/ Delegated Engineer for those first formative years of my career at Jacobs. Kevin always took the time to read and comment on my quarterly reports thoroughly (when I wrote them!) ; looking back now, his guidance was always spot on, given with good humour and enthusiasm; professional but not taking things too seriously. He listened patiently to my early gripes and worries and helped me to see the bigger picture and the value of what we do each day. This is a gift I cannot repay to Kevin, but I hope I can pass it on to other young engineers, in his memory. Luke Walker
